Susan King

Education Background

B.A. degree in Mathematics, Case Western Reserve University, 1973.

Master of Education in Mathematics Education, University of Maryland, 1979.

 

Professional Experience

Susan King has been teaching full-time at the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College since 1990. Her previous experience includes teaching at Wilde Lake High School in Howard County and teaching part-time for 8 years at the Takoma Park Campus. At Montgomery College she regularly teaches courses ranging from Prealgebra through Calculus. Professor King was awarded the Montgomery College Faculty Outstanding Service Award in 1998.

Professor King recently served as Chair of the Montgomery College PRR (Periodic Review Report) Team as part of the accreditation process through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.  She has served on numerous committees at Montgomery College including Rockville Faculty Council and the collegewide Developmental Math Committee. 

Professor King is currently Chair of the Mathematics Department.
