Microsoft Project - Introduction Whether you manage a corporate project of your own business, Microsoft Project Software will help you be more efficient and productive. Microsoft Project 2007 - Level I is an introductory course designed to teach you how to create and modify a project plan file, assign project resources, establish a project calendar, set deadlines, resolve resources conflicts, and finalize your project plan. This course is the first of two classes in the series.
Prerequisites:
Knowledge of Windows, and an understanding of project management concepts, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Classroom Hours: 12
Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.
Course Objectives: Create a project plan file containing tasks, organize these tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships, create and assign resources, and finalize the project to implement the project plan.
Textbook: Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the CMP#(Continuing Education classes) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook. Please bring your textbook to the first class session.
