Microsoft Project - Introduction This course is designed for business owners, team members and project managers. Discover how to effectively plan, implement, and control projects using Microsoft Project 2013. In this course you'll learn how to think through and organize your project details, plan a schedule, sequence tasks, produce a baseline, assign resources and costs, and revise your project plan. This course is the first of two classes in the series.
Understanding of project management concepts, working with Windows or equivalent experience, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.
Course Objectives: Create a project plan file containing tasks, organize these tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships, create and assign resources, and finalize the project to implement the project plan.
Textbook: Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the CMP#(Continuing Education classes) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook. Please bring your textbook to the first class session.
