Computer Basics with Windows, CMP941
Learn basic computer operations, including how to start and shut down the system; use the mouse (clicking and double-clicking); and identify the different icons, screens, and programs in the Microsoft Windows environment. This course also includes tips on how to purchase your personal computer.
Prerequisites: Keyboarding skills. Introduction to Keyboarding or Keyboarding Refresher can be taken concurrently with Computer Basics.
Textbooks: Purchase at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus or Rockville Campus Bookstore.
