Photoshop - Advanced / Web Technologies, CMP864
This course expands upon the concepts of imaging that are taught in the Introduction to Photoshop course. Learn advanced image adjustment techniques and finishing touches to enhance your photos. Make image adjustments using layer styles, layer masks, selection tools, bending options, channels, and filters. Use Photoshop's Web applications to create a Web Photo gallery and upload your Web pages to the Internet using FTP. Topics include transforming selections and images, correcting exposure, retouching images, adjustment layers, adding noise and lighting effects, making vignettes, contact sheets, layer masks, using the quick mask mode to make selections, photo filters, Type and Text, creating image maps, making a Web photo gallery, and much more.
Prerequisites: Introduction to Photoshop.Classroom Hours: 15
Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.
Course Content
- Modify photo images using the image adjustment tools to modify color, lightness and darkness, and selections.
- Apply learned skills to enhance images using filters, layer styles, blending options, and image masks, color channels and Actions, alpha channels, Levels, and Curves, as well as other finishing touches.
- Learn to process photos for the web. Create a web photo gallery which will be uploaded to the Internet using ftp.
