Access VBA for Database Solutions, CMP981

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is an essential programming tool included in Access, Excel, and Word. VBA is used to build the sophisticated database and spreadsheet solutions routinely required by business and government. Major topics include use of Macro Groups to design and automate menus and dialogue boxes; using Visual Basic editor tools and Windows to create and modify VBA code; and basic VBA program code to include module and procedure design, control and loop structures, automation of text and combo boxes, and programming methods to prevent errors. 

Prerequisites : MS Access Levels 1 - 3, and Programming Fundamentals or equivalent experience.

Classroom Hours: 15

Textbook: Purchase at the Rockville Campus Bookstore and bring to first class along with a USB Flash Drive/memory stick (at least 512 MB).
