MS Excel Tips and Tricks, ITI-072
This course will offer tips and tricks to improve the way in which administrative professionals use MS Excel 2007 to simplify working with some advanced Excel features. The course will explore quick methods to link data between spreadsheets and workbooks (i.e. files). Excel's 3-D cross referencing and grouping features will be used to prepare, design, format, manipulate, and apply formulas to data contained in multiple spreadsheets and workbooks. The new Excel table database spreadsheet to table conversion feature will also be examined to include the use of powerful sort, filter, and statistical tips and tricks to manipulate and assess spreadsheet data. New conditional formatting features using data bars, color scales, and icon sets to accentuate and highlight cell values will also be included in the tips and tricks session. Workbook and worksheet protection features including the application of password and user-defined selective sharing and editing rights will also be shown in the tips and tricks session.
Prerequisites: MS Excel Level I & II or intermediate MS Excel level skills.
Textbooks: No textbook required. Please bring a USB memory stick at least 512MB to class so you may save your work.
