J2EE Level II, CMP901
Course Description:
This course focuses on the Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) for the development of multi-tier applications. This course will focus on the enterprise technologies of the J2EE framework. J2EE Level 2 focuses on the Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) model for transaction-aware business components. Using commercial application servers, students will design and implement a significant programming project using session and entity beans, the Java Transaction API (JTA), and the APIs covered in the J2EE Level 1 class. Additional topics covered may include the Java Messaging Service (JMS) for publish-subscribe applications and security issues for distributed Java systems
Prerequisites: Familiarity with the Internet, Web, and HTML.
Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.
