Course Description:

The objective of this course is to leverage the Java programming language to meet one of the major needs of today's technical market: web application development. Learn the principals of enterprise applications and how to apply these concepts in developing browser-based applications using Java technology. This course reviews various components of the Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) framework that are typically desired in today's industry; these areas include JSPs, servlets, Tomcat, MVC, cookies, sessions, Java beans, and JSTL.

Prerequisite: Java Levels I and II or equivalent experience with the Java Standard Edition (J2SE) framework, plus HTML5 or equivalent experience. .

Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.

Textbook:

Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the CMP#(Continuing Education classes) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook.
