Adobe Acrobat and LiveCycle: Creating Dynamic Web Forms, CMP982

LiveCycle, a forms editor package embedded in Adobe Acrobat Professional, is used extensively by government and business to create well-designed, user-friendly electronic forms linked to modern Web database technologies. You will learn how to: design interactive and dynamic PDF documents with fillable form fields as well as how to design form "tabbing order" essential to navigation through complex sub-forms and content areas; make forms for use online, offline, and via mobile devices; use LiveCycle Designer to validate and export form data, submit date to a server, design format data display and output, and prepare "data binding" to map form objects to elements in a data file.

Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the CMP#(Continuing Education classes) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook.

Course Objectives:

  1. Create a PDF document / form
  2. Convert an existing PDF form into one with fill able form fields.
  3. Design and create an interactive and dynamic form with LiveCycle Designer
  4. Build "tab order" and accessibility features into a form using LiveCycle Designer
  5. Design forms data output for display, submission to a server.
  6. Bind PDF data fields and objects to elements in a server-side data file.
