HTML5 Desktop and Mobile Foundation Skills, ITI-162
Use HTML5 to design websites for modern computer screens, mobile phones, and tablets. Learn HTML5's streamlined syntax, and implement HTML5's semantic tags for multi-platform organization and structure. Topics include HTML/HTML5 fundamentals; styling text, objects, and elements using CSS; inserting images and banners; page layouts and "floats"; use <video>, <audio>, and <canvas> tags among others.
Prerequisites: Computer Basics, and Working With Windows7 or File Management Skills, plus familiarity with the Internet and keyboarding skills or equivalent experience.
Textbooks: Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the ITI #(course number) and CRN# (section number) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook.
Technology update: Please bring a Flash Drive/Memory Stick 512MB or larger to class which will enable you to save your class work.
