UX Design for Mobile, Desktop, & Apps, ITI-166
Learn the principles of user experience (UX) design to help you create effective and intuitive user interfaces. Through discussion and exercises focused on practical application of UX design best practices, this course will prepare you to create design Uls for mobile, web, and desktop applications. Learn how to apply a variety of navigation solutions, including "touch and go", tap/double-tap, "thumb-friendly", and other techniques appropriate for smart phones and tablets. Explore wireframe software for mock-ups. This course is for graphic artists, web and print designers, small business owners, marketing specialists, project managers, programmers, and web information content specialists.
Prerequisite: Computer Basics, File Management Skills, or equivalent experience.
Textbook: You must purchase textbook(s)/materials and bring them to the first class. Books may be purchased at the MC Bookstore or online. You will need to know the ITI#(Continuing Education classes), and the CRN# (section number) for the class you are taking in order to look up information about the textbook.
