TechLEAP MCSA Networking Track

TechLEAP offers an MSCA Networking Track to qualified students.  Students will take courses in Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Linux/Unix, Cisco CCNA, and certificate test preparation courses as offered, followed by an internship opportunity option.   Students will take courses over three semesters to earn their TechLEAP Networking Track certificate.

Students desiring an internship opportunity through TechLEAP will take the aptitude test, file an application, and follow all other admissions requirements as other students.  See the TechLEAP Significant Dates page for details on the aptitude test scheduling.

Scheduled courses will include:

First Semester

  • MCDST class: Supporting Users Running the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System.
    MS Course #2261 , 24 hours, CMP#870 new
  • MCDST class: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting Desktop Applications on a Microsoft Windows XP: Operating Troubleshooting Desktop Application Support Issues.
    MS Course #2262 , 24 hours, CMP#871 new
  • Managing and Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 Environment.
    MS Course #2273; Core Networking Class, 40 hours, CMP785;
  • Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure:  Network Services, CMP 810;
  • Implementing and Supporting MS Windows XP Professional.
    MS Course #2272; Core Client Course, 40 hours, CMP784.
  • (Subject to Scheduling) Linux/Unix I, Linux/Unix II, Linux/Unix System Administration (12 hours each; total 36 hours)
