TechLEAP Bioinformatics Elective Track

To prepare for bioinformatics career opportunities, qualified TechLEAP Programming Track students with biology backgrounds may elect to take the Bioinformatics Elective Track in the TechLEAP second semester.  TechLEAP students eligible for the Bioinformatics track will also be eligible for the optional Internship Seminar course with internship placements in the second semester. The courses are subject to change and course conflicts in the second Spring semester.

• Additional electives.  Students may choose from available courses, including:
  • Oracle 10g SQL (counts as 3 electives, plus $200)
  • Oracle 10g PL/SQL (counts as 3 electives, if offered)
  • Java I, Java II, Java III, Java Server Pages (JSP) I
  • Web Track courses, including PHP I and PHP II

Note:  This course sequence may be subject to change.  Final course sequences will be provided at Orientation and at the beginning of the Spring semester.  In addition to these courses, TechLEAP Programming Track students receive career counseling and internship/placement opportunities throughout the semesters, not available to Open Enrollment students.
