Pre-Admission Testing

Admissions Test.

Students interested in taking the full TechLEAP or WebLEAP program with the internship option must take an aptitude test prior to admission. The test dates are listed in the Registration form link in the next paragraph and in the TechLEAP/WebLEAP Significant Dates page.

The test covers verbal and math skills, mechanical reasoning, spacial concepts, speed and accuracy, and other subjects related to careers in the computer sciences.

Registering for the Admissions Test.

The test is administered by TechLEAP at the Gaithersburg Business Training Center on specified dates. See the Significant Dates page. Students must register for this test in advance by filling out the Registration Form.(Right Click on the Registration Form link and save the form to your computer or disk.)

Please return the completed registration form with the required fee to a Workforce Development & Continuing Education Customer Service Center. WD&CE Customer Service Centers are located on the Rockville Campus (Campus Center [CC] Building) 51 Mannakee St., Rockville, MD, 20850, or the Gaithersburg Business Training Center, 12. South Summit Ave., 4th Floor, Gaithersburg, Maryland, 20877.

Students are encouraged to register for the aptitude test at the Gaithersburg Business Training Center (GBTC). The tests will be administered at the GBTC, where the TechLEAP and WebLEAP programs are administered.
