The Learning College Student Leadership Summit (SLS) brings together student leaders from all three campuses and Workforce Development & Continuing Education. Organized by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Initiatives & Partnerships , the Deans of Student Development, and the Directors of Student Life, the Learning College Student Leadership Summit provides this cross section of student learners with a rare opportunity for camaraderie, team building, and information sharing.
Student representatives participate in activities that demonstrate the primary principles of the Learning College – active learning, relevancy, and student participation in the learning enterprise. The feedback from previous Learning College Student Leadership Summits has been instrumental in the creation and maintenance of a results-oriented learning environment that keeps student learning outcomes front and center in Montgomery College’s regular activities and strategic planning processes. This insistence on purposeful learning makes Montgomery College a national model for student engagement and institutional excellence.
The last SLS was be held Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Germantown campus. |
