Montgomery College offers a wide scope of academic opportunities, from individual courses for skill building and personal interest to the first two years of traditional college degree programs. Our Credit programs are sequences of study leading to some form of degree or certificate designed either for transfer to an upper division College or University, or for direct entry into the workplace. These may take from one semester to two years or more of full time coursework. All are described in the College Catalog and current semester offerings are listed in the Class Schedule. Additional information about specific areas of study may be found on the many Department Web Pages. Non Credit Classes are designed for personal enrichment and/or expansion of job skills, with many areas in the latter category keyed to direct interaction with local employers. These are all managed through our Workforce Development and Continuing Education Unit. The Quick Links menu to the left provides access to many other details about our programs, and the many instructional support services available to our students. For guidance on the mechanics of joining the MC family, see the Admissions & Registration pages. Information about the non-classroom aspects of College life is provided on the Student Services pages. For general guidance on how to find specific information on this very large website, consult our Web Help section. A "Dictionary" of higher-education terms and expressions ("matriculate", "audit", etc.) is also available. Welcome to Montgomery College! |
