It is important, whenever one does research, to critically evaluate any information found.  If that information comes from the web, it is even more critical because there is no overall central authority to check the validity of information and because anyone can place information on the Web.

Print information goes through some evaluation process such as editors, fact checks, and/or peer evaluation and has to be accepted by a publisher in order to appear in print.  In addition, it goes through further evaluation in the form of book reviews which librarians consult before deciding whether to purchase an item.
