Agenda:  September 7th

  • The Librarian will present an introduction about information.
  • ASSIGNMENT: You will be required to take a pre-assessment test on your knowledge of information and how to locate the various information sources. Click the pre-assessment link above. This will link you to the page where the assessment is  located.  Click on  Library Pre- and Post-Assessment Questions located in the list on the left side of the page to begin.
  • A tour of the Library will also be included.

  • The Librarian will demonstrate how to find articles from databases available on the Library Web page.
  • Handout on what a Library database is.
  • Handout on Library vocabulary pertaining to articles.
  • There will be a discussion about MLA citations.
  • Example of a MLA citation for an article found in a database.
  • Handout on MLA citations for databases.
  • ASSIGNMENT:  You will be required to complete a tutorial on MLA citations which will be due September 19th. 
  • Instructions for the MLA tutorial assignment.
