    Well illustrated explanations for how the technology around us works. For non-specialists.

    Similar to the above, but written by a Physics professor, so the explanations are more technical.
  • Measure 4 Measure - http://www.wolinskyweb.net/measure.htm
    "A collection of interactive sites on the Web that estimate, calculate, evaluate, translate etc..." Most of the sites listed here are technically sophisticated.
