Mission Statement
The Montgomery
College Library/Special Collections office exists to collect, preserve, and
provide access to materials and memorabilia related to the history,
function, and activities of Montgomery College. To do this, the Special
Collections librarian solicits materials from the College community and the
public that have historical value; preserves and organizes materials for
research, study, and education; and provides finding aids and guides to
access the materials in the collection.
Historical Collection
The collection includes documents and memorabilia related to
the early and evolving history of the College, as well as College catalogs,
student newspapers, Bliss School records, faculty, staff, and student
publications, newspaper clippings, historical photographs, and much more.
The Library/Special Collections office utilizes an offsite storage facility
to house its permanent collection.
