The Montgomery College Libraries, a division of the Information Technology Learning Centers (ITLC), are committed to providing equal access to information services for all students, staff, faculty, and community patrons. The Libraries observe the provisions of the "Americans with Disabilities Act" (ADA). Library staff provide reasonable accommodations* for patrons with disabilities.
Access
All Libraries have automatic doors for entrance and provide a means of bypassing the Entrance and Exit turnstiles.
Library facilities meet ADA requirements for accessibility; however, some areas are not easily reached. Please ask for assistance at a service desk to be accommodated in these areas. Wherever possible, comparable services are provided in accessible areas.
Facilities
Each Library has a TTY for incoming calls. Patrons who need to use TTY for outgoing calls will need to ask at a service desk where these phones are located on that campus. Service desks have been designed to accommodate persons who use wheelchairs or who need to sit while service is being provided.
Assistive Technologies Areas (ATA) in the three campus Libraries contain equipment to assist those who have learning disabilities or special visual or auditory needs. Please ask at the closest service desk for assistance with any of this equipment. Disability Support Services (DSS) will orient Montgomery College students who have disabilities in the use of assistive technology. Please contact DSS at:
