Broadening a Search: Step 2
 

Another way to broaden your search would be to broaden your topic.   You could add in related terms.  For example, cell phones could also be part of a broader category such as "mobile communications" or "wireless communications."

The same technique can be used on each concept in a search.  Rather than searching just for the term "public places," you could combine "cell phones" with terms for specific public places where cell phones might be disruptive, such as restaurants, theaters or churches.
