The status line in the MC Library Catalog record will inform you whether the book is on the shelf, charged out with date the book is due back, or missing. You can put a hold on a book that is checked out by printing out the record and giving the printout to the circulation desk. Once the book is returned, you will be the next person to be able to check the book out.
