What is a Citation?: Step 2

Within your paper you will use in-text citation for the information you include from outside sources.  The in-text citation is a cross-reference to a reference list, which will include full citation information allowing the readers to locate the sources easily. Think of it as linking your information within the text of the paper to a references list attached at the end of the paper.

There are certain rules that you need to be familiar with to cite these sources correctly

in your text.
