                               Conclusion

 

In this tutorial, we have briefly covered the very basics on how to use APA citation rules for various information formats.  You must be aware of the format of the source you are using in your paper and know the particular citation rules for that source.  If you are not sure how to cite a particular information format, use the APA Publication , ask the Reference Librarian, or visit the Writing and Reading Center.

 

Remember:

 

●  Follow the correct APA in-text style which will be a link to the full citation

     information in the reference list.

●  You must be aware of the format of the source you are using in  your paper.

●  You must know of the particular citation rule for that source.

●  Alphabetize reference list by first word of the citation.

●  The first line of the citation is flush left.

●  The lines following in the citation are indented 5 to 7 spaces for each new line.

●  Double space each line and between each new citation.

●  Follow the correct APA citation style for the particular information source you

    are using.

●  Follow the correct APA in-text style which will be a link to the full citation

     on the reference list.

●  If you are not sure, use the APA Publication , Library online handouts, ask

    the Reference Librarian, or visit the Writing and Reading Center.
