How quotations are formatted depends on the how long or short the quotations are.

●  For fewer than 40 words, enclose the quotation within double quotation marks and incorporate it into the text.

 

Example:

 

Spelling (2004) argues that during the 1970s American automobile manufacturers met consumer needs "as well as could be expected" (p.6).
