                     Reference List: Step 2

 To format your reference list:

●  Begin your reference list on a separate page from the text of the paper.

●  Title the list References (do not underline or put quotation marks) and center at the top of the page.

 

●  Double space all entries and do not skip spaces between entries.

 

●  The first line of the each citation entry will be flush left and the following lines of the same citation entry will be indented 5 to 7 spaces. This is known as a "hanging indent."

 

●  Alphabetize list by the first word of each citation entry.
