How to Find Better Articles
Using Subject Headings

Sometimes searching by subject helps to focus a search because an indexer has looked at the ARTICLES and made sure they really are about that subject. For instance, if you were looking for articles about "jobs", you probably wouldn't be interested in ones that deal with "Steve Jobs," the Apple Computer CEO.

By using the SUBJECT HEADING, which in the case of jobs would be employment, you should find more useful articles. However, it is difficult to combine terms using the subject approach unless the indexer has set up that combination. Remember, we found articles under the subject heading teenagers-employment.
