The holdings of the Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus Libraries are listed in the online catalog, MC Library Catalog.

   The items are arranged using the Library of Classification system.  This system uses a combination of letters and numbers.  Each item is

   assigned its own LC number (e.g. LB2342.9 .C662 2005 book title: Community College Student Affairs: What Really Matters by Steven R.

   Helfgot).  You need to know the LC number in order to find the item.

   These items with the LC Classification beginning with A-PZ can be found on the first floow and those with Q-Z can be found on the second

   floor.  Folio books (those books that are too large to fit on a normal shelf) can be found on the second floor as well.

   To search for items in the Library, click on MC Library Catalog as shown above.  This will take you to the search screen shown below:

Click on the type of search you want to use and enter the search in the Select Search Type box.

Enter the search terms in the Enter Search Terms box.

Click the search box to see results.
