                        In-Text Citations: Step 3

●  If the source does not tell the name of the author (as in the case of many Internet sources), use an abbreviated version of the title of the source.

Example:

       ("Chomsky for Beginners" 5).

●  If you are using a quotation that your source took from another source, use "qtd. in" to indicate the original source.

Example:

       (qtd. in Chomsky 5).

●   If the source has two or more authors with the same last name, provide both authors'

first initials or even full names if the authors share initials.

Example:

      (J. Smith and F. Smith 65).

●  If you cite more than one work by a particular author, include a shortened title for the work you are quoting to distinguish from other works by the same author.

Example:

       (Smith, Arts 155).

       (Smith, Ceramics 68).
