                     Newspaper Articles: Step 2

There are also certain rules which must be followed in your works cited page for newspaper articles.

●  When citing the date, list day before month (24 June).

●  Use a three-letter abbreviation of the month ( Jan., Mar., Aug.).  Do not abbreviate

May, June, or July.  Use four letters to abbreviate September (Sept.).

●  If there is more than one edition available for that date (early or late edition of  the  newspaper), identify the edition following the date (26 Jan. 2003, late ed.).

● Include only first page number with a plus sign (+)  for the remaining pages.
