If the location field in the record states circulating collection, these materials are arranged alphabetically by call number together. Materials in the circulating collection can be checked out. If the location field states reference collection, these materials will be together in the reference area. Reference materials cannot be checked out. Journals in the Montgomery College libraries are arranged alphabetically by title in the journal collection area. They are not given call numbers, but each journal title will have a record in the online catalog so that the researcher will know that a particular journal is available in the library for their use.
