[PY203]: [Human Growth & Development] [Ruffin]

Web Page created by [Diane Cockrell], Montgomery College Libraries

Suggested Search Strategies to use when searching for books and articles:
  • "human development"
  • "human development" AND children
  • "human development" AND teenagers (or adolescents)
  • "human development" AND adults
  • "human development" AND elderly
  • "death and dying"

Remember: 2 words or more place them in between "               "

Use AND when connecting 2 or more concepts/ideas

                          "human development" AND children

                          - AND acts as a 'connector'

Use OR when using words of similar ideas

                          teenagers OR adolescents

                          - OR acts as an 'expander'

Use NOT when a word should not be included in a search

                           teenagers NOT "young adults"

                           - NOT acts as a 'limiter'
