Montgomery College, College of Notre Dame of Maryland Team Up to Provide Radiologic or Sonography Graduates With Ability to Earn Bachelor’s Degree Locally
College of Notre Dame of Maryland Will Offer Upper Division Classes for Its B.S. Program in Radiological Sciences with Weekend Classes at MC’s Health Sciences Center in Silver Spring

Montgomery College students studying radiologic technology and diagnostic medical sonography will soon have the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree without leaving Montgomery County. Montgomery College has partnered with College of Notre Dame of Maryland to bring the third and fourth year of its in bachelor’s degree program in radiological sciences to Montgomery College’s Health Sciences Center.

As a community college, Montgomery College offers an associate’s degree in radiologic technology and diagnostic medical sonography. Most students who finish the programs go directly into the workforce for full or part-time employment in the health care industry. Previously, students who wished to pursue a bachelor’s degree from College of Notre Dame would have had to travel to Baltimore for classes.

The agreement between the two colleges now allows Montgomery College students who have completed an associate’s degree program in radiologic technology or diagnostic medical sonography to continue their education in Silver Spring.

Three upcoming information sessions have been planned for February, for anyone interested in learning about College of Notre Dame’s program that will be offered at MC. Students who wish to pursue the bachelor’s degree option are encouraged to attend an information session to assist with their admission process. The information sessions about the radiological sciences program will be held at the following times:
