Attorney for Jena 6 Defendant to Speak at Montgomery College
Louis G. Scott Will Visit Rockville Campus on April 11

Montgomery College will host a talk by Louis G. Scott, the attorney for Jena 6 defendant Mychal Bell, on Friday, April 11 at noon. Scott will address contemporary issues surrounding social justice, criminal justice and the Jena 6 case. This event will be held in the Science East Building, Room 119, on the Rockville Campus, 51 Mannakee Street in Rockville, Md.

Attorney Scott has practiced law for more than 28 years throughout the state of Louisiana. Since 1996, Scott has operated his own law practice in Monroe, Louisiana. His case load includes criminal, civil, worker’s compensation, personal injury and adoption cases. In addition, he is certified as a lead trial counsel and appellate attorney for capital cases.

Scott holds a Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Grambling State University.
