Register Now for Montgomery College’s 2008 Summer Session
First Summer Session Begins on May 27, Midsummer and Late Sessions Also Available

Registration is underway for Montgomery College’s summer 2008 sessions, the first of which will begin on Tuesday, May 27. Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible for the best choice of classes. Registration is available online or in-person.

Montgomery College offers credit courses in more than 100 degree and certificate programs at its three campuses—Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring—as well as through online courses and some off-site locations. Through day, night, and weekend classes, students can earn an associate’s degree or a variety of certifications, receive credits for transfer to a four-year college or university, enhance their job skills, train for a new career, or simply take courses for personal enrichment.

During the summer, many local residents who attend college or university elsewhere will enroll at Montgomery College to take courses. To ease the transition, students are asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Apply to Montgomery College.
  • Submit documentation from the home college or university showing that you have fulfilled the prerequisite indicated in the current Montgomery College Catalog for the course you wish to take. As proof of fulfillment, students may submit a “Permission to Enroll” form from their institution.
  • Documentation from the home institution may be faxed or mailed to Montgomery College Office of Admissions.
  • Once the College has received your prerequisite documentation, register for the course.

Students can apply for admission and register on-site at the College’s three campuses: at the Germantown Campus in the Sciences and Applied Studies Building, 20200 Observation Drive; at the Rockville Campus, in the Student Services Building, 51 Mannakee Street; and at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, in the Student Services Center, located at the intersection of Fenton Street and New York Avenue. In addition, online registration is available for all summer courses.
