Montgomery College Earns Alliance for Workplace Excellence Honors
College to Receive Workplace ‘Seal of Approval,’ Health and Wellness Trailblazer Award

Montgomery College will receive the Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval and the Health and Wellness Trailblazer Award from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence, a nonprofit organization that recognizes ‘Excellent Places to Work.’ This marks the fifth year in a row that Montgomery College will receive the Seal of Approval and the fourth year for the Trailblazer Award.

The Alliance for Workplace Excellence will recognize Montgomery College and other area employers at its annual awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 3 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

The Alliance has recognized the Washington, D.C. area’s best places to work for the past ten years. This year, AWE will also honor 19 Mid-Atlantic region businesses that have demonstrated their commitment to environmental sustainability. The 66 winning companies represent more than one million employees from organizations of all sizes and in all sectors—private, public, and nonprofit.

All award applicants must undergo a rigorous assessment process led by an independent review panel of professors, professionals, and doctoral candidates in business, industrial and organizational psychology, and human resources.

The Alliance for Workplace Excellence provides a portfolio of services that allow employers to build excellent places to work. It created the Workplace Excellence and Health and Wellness Trailblazer Awards to highlight businesses that promote professional fulfillment and personal wellness at work, at home, and in the community.
