WHO: Montgomery College graduates, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and family
WHAT: Dr. Winnie King, a Montgomery College alumna who hosts national television and radio shows on health matters, will deliver the keynote address at Montgomery College’s 60th annual commencement on Friday, May 18, at 10 a.m. The community college will honor graduates from its three campuses in Montgomery County, Md.—Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring—along with apprenticeship graduates in Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs. Four students representing each of the campuses and the continuing education programs will speak. Individuals of all ages and from as many as 170 countries are represented in the student body. More than 600 students are expected to participate in the procession; more than 2,200 completed degree or certificate requirements this year. More than 4,000 people are expected to be in attendance.

Please Note: The North Campus Drive entrance to campus will be closed that morning. All traffic will be routed onto campus from Mannakee Street.
Montgomery College Commencement is a ticketed event. Please have your press credentials available to gain access to the tent. Media are asked to enter the tent through the Main Entrance, located along North Campus Drive.
PARKING: Reporters are invited to park in the lot closest to the College’s Gudelsky Institute for Technical Education.
