Montgomery College Seeks New
Student Member of Board of Trustees
Montgomery College is now accepting
applications from Montgomery College students interested in
serving a one-year term on the College's Board of Trustees, from
July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. An independent nominating
committee, which is not a part of the College, will evaluate the
applications of those who choose to apply.
Applicants must have successfully
completed at least 18 credit hours at Montgomery College and
possess a cumulative quality point average, as well as a current
semester quality point average of at least 2.0. All members of
the Board of Trustees serve without salary.
At the time of appointment and during the
term of office, the student must be a Montgomery County resident
who is enrolled in at least six credit hours of course work at
Montgomery College. No applications from Montgomery College
employees can be accepted.
The position involves an extensive time
commitment, above and beyond the regular Board meetings.
Applicants must attend an orientation session before interviews
take place.
