Montgomery
College to Host Satellite Presentation by Famed Author On
‘Chicken Soup for the Administrative Professional’s Soul’
Jack Canfield's Workshop to
Mark April 25 as Administrative Professionals Day
Montgomery College's Workforce Development
and Continuing Education division will be the metropolitan area
host of a nationally televised workshop for administrative
professionals, presented by Jack Canfield, renowned author of
the Chicken Soup book series. Shown live, via satellite,
the April 25 event hosted by the college will begin with a noon
luncheon, followed by the satellite downlink presentation from
1-3 p.m.
This "Annual Briefing for Administrative
Professionals" is the only live national learning event held on
Administrative Professionals Day, in appreciation of the unique
and far-reaching contributions of support staff. For 14 years,
the Annual Briefing has informed, inspired, and energized
participants in workplaces across the country.
This year’s event is intended to help
administrative professionals put passion in their tasks, and to
teach them how to gain appreciation and recognition for their
work, perform better on the job, partner with their boss, and
build better work relationships.
Registration fee is $75 for Maryland
residents; $95 out-of-state. Lunch, which is included in the
fee, will be served in the Humanities Building, Room 009 at
noon; the satellite downlink runs from 1-3 p.m., Campus Tower,
Room 012. Registration deadline is April 19. For more
information, contact Tracy Singleton at 240-567-7914.
