Montgomery College’s Lifelong Learning Institute
To Host Photography Workshop for
Seniors
Montgomery College’s Lifelong
Learning Institute, which provides educational programs for senior
citizens, will offer an information-packed, one-day workshop for
serious amateur or professional photographers who want to market
their work. The event is set for Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4
p.m. at Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus.
Participants will discover winning
design ideas, while examining composition, exposure, film, and
equipment. They will also learn how to create consistently
compelling and marketable images, as well as how to find a market
for their own work, generate income, and get published. In addition,
the workshop will cover digital input and output, posting work on
free Web galleries, Web authoring software and design, and
e-commerce.
Tony Sweet, a Baltimore-based
photographer and a frequent guest lecturer at universities,
community colleges, camera clubs, and professional photography
organizations, will lead the workshop.
The fee for Maryland residents is
$75; non-residents pay an additional $20. For more information,
contact Gary Hong at 240-567-7869. |
