Montgomery College to
Recognize Featured Students Some 100 Students, Alumni Have Appeared in Personalized Radio Spots, Metrobus Ads, Recruitment Materials Since Launch of Community College’s Campaign in 2000
THURSDAY,
MAY 8, 2003
Theatre Arts Arena They’ve shared their personal reflections on the importance of education and Montgomery College, in particular, on their own lives, as part of a series of “in their own words” radio spots. They’ve had their faces pasted on the side of Metro buses, larger than life. And they’ve become virtual goodwill ambassadors for the local community college by sharing their reflections, their success stories and their images for use in a wide variety of Montgomery College recruitment and promotional media. They are the students and the alumni who have shared their faces and their stories, as part of the college’s “Montgomery College: Endless Possibilities” marketing campaign. To thank the students and alumni for all of their contributions, the college is hosting a special reception in their honor. The event will provide an opportunity for many of them to be reunited with faculty mentors who originally recommended the students for inclusion in the campaign, based on their academic achievements or the uniqueness of the stories they had to share. Dr. Charlene R. Nunley, president of Montgomery College, will be among those on hand to recognize the participating students and alumni -- now totaling more than 100 since the “Montgomery College: Endless Possibilities” campaign was originally launched in 2000. # # # |
