There’s Still Time to Register for Fall Classes at Montgomery College
New Students Encouraged to Submit Applications by August 15

Montgomery College will begin its fall 2003 semester on September 2.  With the first day just around the corner, there is still time to register for classes.  Students are encouraged to register soon to avoid missing out on their best choice of classes.

Montgomery College, Maryland’s oldest community college, offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs at its three campuses – Rockville, Germantown, and Takoma Park.  Through day, night, and weekend classes, students can earn an associate’s degree, receive credits for transfer to a four-year college or university, enhance their job skills, or prepare for a new profession

To accommodate student schedules, Montgomery College is holding a special Saturday registration on Saturday, August 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  During these hours, the advising, cashier, financial aid and registration offices on all three campuses will be open.  If students cannot attend the Saturday registration, registration is offered over the telephone, or via the College’s Web site, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Students also have the option to register in person.

Before registering for classes, first-time students must submit an admissions application. First-time students are encouraged to submit their applications by August 15 to be assured of all testing and advising services necessary for registration.  Students are eligible to attend Montgomery College if they have graduated from a secondary school or earned their GED; or, if they are still in secondary school and have met early placement requirements.  The application process can be done in person or by telephone.

To meet the needs of the community, the College also offers hundreds of non-credit courses and off-campus credit courses through its Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division.  For more information on Workforce Development and Continuing Education offerings, please contact 240-567-5188 or log on to
