Montgomery College and Business Women’s
Working women can learn how to survive and thrive in the workplace at the first of a three-part series of programs to be held on November 18 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 1750 Rockville Pike, Rockville.
Co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Business and Professional Women (MCBPW) and the Montgomery College Office of Equity and Diversity, “Enhance Your Worth at Work” will focus on leveraging strengths, such as power, communication and indispensability, to enhance opportunities for career advancement.
The program will be presented by MCBPW member Patricia Crew, a career counselor, who will provide information on how to understand the formal and informal organization, build and use an information network and use strategies to boost one’s career.
Hosted by MCBPW at its monthly meeting, the evening will begin with networking and dinner from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event, including dinner and the program, costs $26. The cost for the program alone is $10.
Free parking is available on site, and the hotel is just a block from the Twinbrook Metro Station.
