News Release Date: March 5, 2009 Montgomery College and Stevenson University Partner to Help Nursing Students Earn Bachelor’s Degrees
Montgomery College and Stevenson University have partnered to create a seamless transfer process for Montgomery College nursing graduates who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Stevenson University, located in Stevenson, Md. As a result of the articulation agreement, Montgomery College graduates with an Associate of Science degree in nursing will have their course credits accepted by Stevenson University. Graduates will also be eligible for Stevenson academic scholarships and financial aid assistance, campus housing, course selection and registration services. Stevenson University will offer some nursing courses at Montgomery College in the future, which would make the bachelor’s degree program attainable for nurses who are currently working in the field. In addition, Stevenson University will award 30 upper-level course credits to students with an active registered nurse (R.N.) license. MC is one of eight community colleges in Maryland to sign an articulation agreement with Stevenson University.
