There is still time for parents to sign their kids up for exciting, summer art classes at the School of Art and Design at Montgomery College.  The Summer Art Program at the School of Art and Design offers nearly 80 day and afternoon classes, taught by professional artists and local art teachers.  Some of the featured subjects include computer animation, painting, recycled fashion, photography, cartooning, painting and printmaking.

Along with the classes, the Summer Art Program features supervised lunch for students enrolled in both day and afternoon sessions.  Before- and after-care are available at an additional cost for children ages 6-12, who are enrolled in the program.

The classes are taught at the School of Art and Design, located at 10500 Georgia Avenue, in Silver Spring, Md.  Two-week sessions start every two weeks, from June 20 to August 1.  Classes run Monday-Friday.  Tuition for the Summer Art Program varies depending on the class, but art supplies and lab fees are included in the price.
