Montgomery College Lifelong Learning Institute’s Fall Schedule Available
Continuing Education Courses Designed for Adults 50 Years Old and Over
Older adults looking to enhance their education or simply expand their horizons will find a wide variety of courses to match their interests through Montgomery College’s Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), a program of the College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education unit. Course offerings include such varied subjects as interior design, history, personal finance, photography, astronomy, and archaelogy. The Lifelong Learning Institute’s fall 2005 schedule of classes is now available at all libraries, senior and community centers in Montgomery County. The publication lists non-credit continuing education classes for older adults, ages 50 and over. In addition, it includes helpful registration information and forms. Two unique LLI classes offered this fall semester include “Black Memorabilia as the Storyteller of African American History,” taught by Philip Merrill, who has been a featured appraiser on the popular PBS television program “Antiques Roadshow;” and the “Poetry of Robert Frost,” taught by Dr. Lesley Lee Francis, the granddaughter of Robert Frost. In addition to classes, the LLI offers international travel opportunities for seniors. Registration is currently underway for all classes.
