The Montgomery College Nursing Program can start you on the path to a rewarding career as a registered nurse. Graduates of our two-year Associate Degree Program are qualified to take the examination to become licensed registered nurses, prepared to give competent nursing care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care settings.

FOREIGN NURSE GRADUATES

 These individuals will be evaluated on a case by case basis based upon documented training and experience.

 1.         Nurses will be required to submit a copy of their report from the Commission on

            Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools and a letter from the Maryland Board of

            Nursing identifying courses required.

 

2.         Nurses will be required to complete NU 121 with a grade of “C” or better and

            also participate in the day-long seminar on “Application of the Nursing Process”.

 

3.         Nurses will then be eligible for admission to NU 123/124 or the appropriate

            nursing course determined by the Program Director.
