The Presidential Search Advisory Committee of Montgomery College invites nominations and applications for the position of President.
Chartered in 1946, Montgomery College is considered one of the nation’s premier community colleges. Located in Montgomery County, Maryland, adjacent to Washington, D.C., the College is governed by a 10 member Board of Trustees that is appointed by the Governor of Maryland. Montgomery College serves over 55,000 credit and non-credit students annually on three campuses in Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Rockville and Germantown, a college-wide continuing education unit, a central administration center, and several off campus sites. The College, one of the most diverse community colleges in the country, enrolls students from Montgomery County, the greater metropolitan area, and approximately 170 countries from around the world. The Presidential Search Advisory Committee will begin to review candidates in September, 2006 and continue until an appointment is made. Nominations and applications shall be treated in confidence and should be submitted electronically (MS Word) to Dr. Robert Shoenberg, Chair, Presidential Search Advisory Committee at presidentialsearch@montgomerycollege.edu.
