June 26 Organizational meeting of the PSAC

  • July 1 Status report from PSAC Chair to the Board of Trustees and the Montgomery College community (followed by similar reports at least after each session)
    July 7 Complete editing of presidential profile and advertisement

    Announcement of search in Chronicle of Higher Education
    August 28
    6:00 p.m.
    Meet with Presidential Search Advisory Committee
  • agree on a candidate screening procedure

  • develop follow-up strategies on prospective candidates

  • review candidates

  • October 9
    6:00 p.m.
    Select 10-12 candidates for telephone reference checks
    October 23
    6:00 p.m.
    Select approximately 8 candidates for off-campus, confidential interviews
    November 8-9
    Begin at 8:30 a.m.
    Conduct neutral site interviews with approximately 8 candidates and select finalists to recommend to the Board of Trustees
    November 27 –
    December 1
    Finalists are interviewed by the full Board of Trustees and complete visits to campuses (PSAC members serve as hosts for campus visits). Board and consultants do further checking on finalists
    December 6 Board of Trustees completes negotiations with leading candidate and announces appointment
